Building Blocks Fall/Winter 2026

This class meets in person in the evenings at In Between Stitches in Livermore, CA.

Class Description:

Building Blocks was created to move the new knitter beyond the basics by introducing the major knitting techniques in a systematic approach. Each block builds upon the skills of the previous block, allowing you to gain confidence and knowledge while creating a beautiful sampler blanket.

This class meets once a month for 7 months.

Each month, we'll meet in the classroom to learn and begin two new blanket blocks. You'll then have the rest of the month to complete your blocks at your own pace. For most knitters, this schedule still leaves plenty of time to work on other projects or take additional classes while continuing to build new skills.

Over the next months, you'll learn all of the blocks needed for your sampler blanket. In the final class, we'll cover block placement, seaming your blanket together, and celebrate everyone's progress with a show-and-tell of your finished blocks.

Class Level:

Adventurous Beginner and beyond. You should know how to Knit and Purl and do a Long Tail Cast On while using circular needles.
